Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the third son of Late His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Before rising to the ranks of the Deputy Supreme Commander of UAE, His Highness has assumed several roles in the military office. After schooling, in the year 1979, His Highness attended the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst to train in armoury, helicopter flying, para trooping and tactical flying. Thereafter, His Highness joined the Officers’ Training Course in Sharjah.
His Highness plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, organizational structure and strengthening the Defence Force of the UAE.
Born in October 1961, His Highness Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan takes the legacy and vision of his father in further implementing the all-round growth plans for the UAE. The Crown Prince has been actively ensuing the nation’s progress in the non-oil sector.
Heading the Abu Dhabi council for economic development as well as the Mubadala Development Company, the primary investment vehicle for Abu Dhabi, His Highness ensures that the economy of the nation prospers at an accelerated pace. His Highness primarily oversees the economic diversification for sustained progress of the UAE.
His Highness is also actively involved in philanthropic projects and projects pertaining to the wellbeing of the Emiratis, including education, economic and environment protection projects.
His dedication to conserve the environment can be witnessed in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi where he leads the alternative energy project.
